Zaha Hadid is definitely something special. Her designs are always unique and inovative in all aspects. She was first woman to get Pritzker Architecture prize in 2004 and Stirling prize in 2010 and 2011. Zaha was born in Baghdad. She was learning math before decidet to go study architecture in London. She is well known for its fluid lines and organic shapes.
One of my favorite designs will be definitely Japan national stadium for for forthcoming Olympics. Zaha has worked in Japan for 30 years and carefully study its arhitecture. She put all of her knowledge in this design and I think this was key for winning such important project. Futuristic, organic and alien-like form are typical for Zaha Hadid’s work.
Below you fill see one of Zaha Hadid sketches. I see small similarity with Karim Rashid who is also all about fluid lins. Both are very modern oriented and what I really love about theis that they contatantly suprise me! Visit her web page for more info here.
